Quick health update- December 2014

Since some of you have been asking- I’ve been having health problems for the past few weeks because of which I haven’t been able to write any new posts- I hope to be back soon, though I can’t say when at the moment. Thank you so much for your concern and your kind wishes.

      Hello Peter, (and everyone)

We have heard that the end is near for her. We are compiling messages for her and her family, and if you would like to say anything please send me an email at kriti216[at]gmail[dot]com.

Thanks so much for popping in with a brief update. I’ve recently printed out all of your posts to keep in a folder and am so much enjoying reading them one by one at my leisure. I’m 68 years old, an avid reader and have just now, because of your posts, started reading Wodehouse for the first time. How can this be?

I think of you a lot and, like the others, am always concerned when you’re gone for a time that feels too long. I hope your current health issues smooth out to provide some level of comfort and ease for you.

Thinking of you. Have had my own experience with cancer this past year. I call 2014 my year of living dangerously. We’ll see what 2015 brings. Enjoy your literary posts so much.

  10. Smita says:

looking forward to your next post…a very happy new year to you…full of magic…

I am yet another who has stumbled upon your posts after listening to a Clive James interview here in Australia earlier today. Clive was very generous with the lyrical wax he lovingly bestowed upon your good self and your writing, and for good reason I’ve now discovered. I thought you might like to know your delightful voice is resonating soundly across the globe.

Thanks very much. It’s always very pleasant to find a writer I like so much. .

    Hi all,

Our beloved Oblomov is gone now. No more pain for her. She and her family were deeply moved by all the messages from friends and “strangers” alike, and they were all read out to her, for what it’s worth. So thank you for being a part of that and for making these last hours/days happier for them all. If you would like to send a message to her family, please email me at kriti216[at]gmail[dot]com and I will make sure it reaches them.

what beautiful reflections she left behind for perfect strangers. i hope this blog will stay up for a long time. i would come back to reread her posts – i already do.

thank you, kriti, for letting us know.

Peter suggested that I leave this here: a little (or long) something that I wrote about Oblomov, for those of you who knew her, and those who didn’t… http://blog.kritibajaj.com/2015/04/au-revoir.html
